SCHEUERLE opens up new possibilities for heavy load hauliers - new gooseneck, new InterCombi, new delivery times!
Bauma, Munich, 19th - 25th April 2010, Open Air Area F8, Stand N823
SCHEUERLE Fahrzeugfabrik in Pfedelbach has extended its road programme through a number of additional innovative solutions. This includes the new, continuously adjustable gooseneck, a new InterCombi made of high-strength steel as well as an extended range of decks. Through the use of welding robots - specially developed for SCHEUERLE - these new developments as well as the current range of vehicles can be realized with much shorter delivery times.
SCHEUERLE, global market leader in the transport of heavy loads, has always offered its customers, in addition to numerous serial products, the most suitable, customised solution for each and every challenging transportation assignment. With its new developments, SCHEUERLE has once again lived up to the task of fulfilling this objective:
New adjustable gooseneck
With the new SCHEUERLE gooseneck, the fifth wheel load is continuously adjustable which means it can be easily adapted to the dead weight of the truck tractor. In addition, dismantling the loading area is a very simple operation. Consequently, the gooseneck is extremely versatile in its use and compatible with all products in the SCHEUERLE Combi series. With its overall width of 2.5 meters, transport on conventional trailers is possible without any problems. The modular structure of the gooseneck, in connection with the use of the very latest robot welding technology, therefore allows the flexible realization of customer requests. SCHEUERLE once again successfully developed an innovative solution for the specialized transport sector and applied for the patent.
The SCHEUERLE InterCombi ES – a giant among the road vehicles
"Today's marketplace demands transportation of ever heavier loads while at the same time adhering to the permissible axle loads", says Andreas Kohler, Head of Engineering Department and Vice President of SCHEUERLE Fahrzeugfabrik GmbH. "With the new InterCombi ES, heavier loads can now be carried with the same dead weight". Made of high-strength S 960 fine-grained structural steel, the InterCombi ES has a higher moment of resistance in the main beams. With this higher moment of resistance, it is possible to couple up to 3 additional axle lines behind a deck while still taking the permissible axle load into consideration. Naturally, the InterCombi ES (extra strong) can be coupled with the conventional SCHEUERLE InterCombi. It is available as a 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6-axle platform trailer.
New "Salsa Plus" programme
In order to satisfy the demands of its customers SCHEUERLE developed a new improved "Salsa Plus" programme. It allows the fifth wheel and axle loads, in connection with a freely definable load, as well as additional loads to be determined before setting out. Furthermore, the system monitors the frame load of the total combination and clearly shows the operator through just a glance at a coloured bar chart whether overloading is going to take place.
The Plus functions featured in the current Salsa program include:
- creating steering diagrams, dimensional drawings and load charts for the selected combination
- creating tractrix curves in the vehicle plan view with freely selectable routes
- checking problem situations on the transportation route by means of aerial image data or measurement data
- possibility of on-the-spot recording and evaluation of obstacles with the help of a position director
- calculation of axle compensation when climbing ramps
- splitting of fifth wheel and axle loads of the truck tractor
Further modularization of the decks
For special transportation tasks, the SCHEUERLE programme has a large range of options to chose from. In close collaboration with customers, SCHEUERLE has developed a functional selection of decks for professional use. For all transport jobs, the most suitable equipment is available here: from the frame, flat bed and excavator decks in fixed or telescopic designs through to special purpose-built decks (e.g. lift or side-girder decks) which are produced exactly according to customer requirements.
Through the further modularization of SCHEUERLE decks in connection with the correspondingly faster production process - also through the use of the new welding robots - vehicle delivery times can be greatly reduced in future.
In order to see the numerous new developments for yourselves, come and visit SCHEUERLE at the BAUMA 2010 in Munich, Open Air Area F8, Stand N823.
