Steering Technology - "STEPS.3".

The 3rd generation of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT) are equipped with the new "STEPS.3 steering technology" (SCHEUERLE Transport Electronic Processor System: 3rd generation). This 3rd generation covers all further developments in the vehicle sector and guarantees compatibility to previous modular transporter generations.

With this, SCHEUERLE provides reliable steering technology to deal with the special requirements present in heavy load transport whereby all functions between the individual vehicle units are synchronized. In coupling mode, one transporter unit is selected as the "master unit". From this master, all other  transporter units receive appropriate control commands for steering, traction drive, braking etc., irrespective of their quantity.
