Optimal handling through particular manoeuvrability.

The SCHEUERLE straddle transporter is ideally suited to flexible transfer of hot and cold slabs weighing up to 200 tonnes.

• Its manoeuvrability speaks for itself: forward and reverse, sideways or diagonally, the vehicle’s electronically controlled steering system permits slabs to be picked up or set down at any desired location. Two parallel connecting tongs grasp the „hot iron“ from above, lift it and pile it to a height of up to four metres. The mobile trolley permits slabs to be transferred four metrws in a transversal direction while the vehicle itself remains stationary.
• Electronic regulated more-way steering: straddle packs up to 12 m in length can be crossed in transversal and longitudinal direction. 
• The revolving driver’s seat and all the operating instruments are installed in an air-conditioned cabin with windows on every side. The cabin is, moreover, hydraulically height-adjustable by two metres to afford the driver an unimpeded view at all times.
