New at the TII Group:
- TII Group presents SmartAxle add-on bogie for the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact
- SmartAxle significantly expands the range of possible EuroCompact vehicle combinations
- Vehicles are specifically customized to suit load and route thus making the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact even more economical
At the MAN Trucknology Days from 23 - 25 March which is taking place at the MAN plant in Munich, the TII Group – the world market leader in the production of vehicles with hydraulically-supported pendulum axles – is presenting the SmartAxle, a clever and cost-effective expansion of the EuroCompact system. The SmartAxle is a freely positionable single-axle bogie unit that significantly expands the range of possible vehicle combinations for the proven SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact.
Combined with a MAN TGX 41.640 8x4/4 BBS tractor, the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact will be presenting its more flexible side at the Trucknology Days in Munich. The 2+4 basic combination can be varied by coupling the SmartAxle to the rear and front bogies to create 2+5, 3+4 or 3+5 combinations respectively. This makes it possible to specifically customized the vehicle to match the load and route conditions thus making the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact even more economical.
Unrivalled compactness: the last generation of the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact gained around one metre loading length while maintaining the same overall length compared to previous generations. Together with a wide double-prismatic boom recess, a comprehensive range of decks and spacers for the realization of a continuous loading area and a generous number of heavy-duty lashing points, the compact semi-trailer is thus ideally prepared for accommodating all possible loads. The innovative boom concept with offset and 180° rotatable booms ensures a particularly low loading height. The optionally available, continuous fifth-wheel load adjustment allows easy adaptation of the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact to accommodate the different truck tractor fifth wheel loads. The one and a half metre centre distance (1.36m likewise available) means less wear and tear on roads and bridges, and simplifies approval procedures. The SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact is ideally suited for the transport of crushing plants, excavators and other construction machinery as well as transformers and wind turbine components. The vehicle has a particularly good dead weight/payload ratio along the entire vehicle length and is extremely manoeuvrable through its 65° steering angle on the front pendulum axle dolly and 60° on the rear bogie unit.
